boris the friendly tomcat followed me around singing his song and splashing water out of his bowl at me. he does this every morning. or really, anytime someone pays attention to him in the kitchen. i used to get pissed off at his antics so i started thinking about getting rid of him. he was such an annoying animal - and my girl cat hated him. well, my old man laughed at me and told me to cut him a break. you've got to give a teenage boy a break. and i did, so he's still a big dope, but we get along better these days. sometimes i laugh at his jokes. he's not a bad cat.
vaca went well. we didn't climb the mountain (although we did hike a little) but we did get to catch up with some of the family. that was nice. everyone got along well enough that we're in the planning phase of moving up.
this is a change. but i feel like it is a change for the better. my brother and my boyfriend got along very well, i think they are pretty good friends now. boy liked how, everything aside, my family could usually agree on having dinner, and how when there is time to the perfectly obvious thing is to offer to help in the garden and when it is over sit in the shade with a cool cheap beer. it took him off guard when my grandfather offered us beers, and to sit and chat for a while. well, my grandfather is old - but he's still an ordinary guy.
some of my family is pretty crazy, but they still taught me most of the things i know about how to be a person.
i like boy's family too. don't get me wrong about that. it plays a part.
but i never thought i would get excited about a lot of things that i have lately.
p.s. check out earthships. they're pretty neat.

Be fearless. Fear leads to panic, and it's panic that kills. Your inhibitions are a hazard.

There is no greater feeling.
Then that of possibility.
This even relates to the Ant.
